Bio

Ciao Amigo!  I am originally from Portland, Oregon.  While attending the University of Oregon, I completed an Army internship in Weisbaden, Germany. That summer in 2003 shifted my entire life path.  I fell in-love with working for the Army and as quickly as possible, completed my Masters so I could start my DA Civilian career.  I have had the privilege of working in Germany, Norway, Italy, Japan, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and am super excited to be back in Europe again!  I have been an athlete my entire life, but after several years as a long distance runner, began to experience chronic knee and hip injuries.  After deciding not to get surgery, strength training was recommended to me.  New to the lifting scene, I tried CrossFit at Fort Hood and never looked back!  The mental and physical strength that I gained from CrossFit inspired me to become a coach!  My goal is to support others to become their strongest, most resilient self!

FAQs

When and where did you first start CrossFit?
I started CF at Fort Hood in 2012. Before that, I had never touched a barbell. I had just had my son, Eason, and was trying to get back in shape.
Why do you coach?
I coach for the same reason I pursued my degree in Education, a passion to help others. When I immediately fell in-love with CrossFit, I knew I wanted to help others feel the way I did doing it- stronger, healthier and more resilient. I became a level 1 Coach after just 6 months of doing CrossFit, because I couldn’t wait to learn more and help promote the lifestyle that comes with CrossFit.
Got any hobbies?
Besides CrossFit, other hobbies I have are traveling with my son. I also practice/teach yoga, mountain bike and hike, as well. I also love to read and listen to podcasts, especially those focused on health and wellness.
